For a particular course, contact the independent trainer directly. Trainers set their own prices, locations, schedules and availability, and they can confirm their current qualifications, accreditation, course details and booking arrangements. BOATN cannot speak for an individual trainer or confirm a place on their behalf.

Licensing and training questions

Queensland Transport and Main Roads is the official source for marine licence requirements and application steps. TMR says a person must be at least 16 to get a marine licence, a marine licence is required to operate a boat powered by an engine greater than 4.5 kW, and PWCL requires both RMDL and PWCL.
